The high camp sequel to the author's 1959 novel, this time following Norman Bates after he escapes the psych ward and goes on a killing spree culminating in a bloodbath in Hollywood. The book is not, in fact, the basis for the 1983 film of the same name. As Bloch explained in a later interview, "When I decided to do a novel expressing my feelings about splatter films, which was Psycho II, my agent urged me to show the completed section to the studio as a common courtesy. They loathed it.". Signed.
