In 1998, Emory recognized him for 50 continuous years of service in dentistry. ; The author, Frederick Randolph Bailey (1871-1923) became an MD in 1895 and was formerly instructor in histology of the nervous system; after 1904 adjunct professor of histology and embryology, at his alma mater, the College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.
