Neuware - Als das Bankhaus Wölbern & Co. und die Bankhaus Wölbern Stiftung im Frühjahr 2005 ein neues Bürogebäude in der HafenCity in Hamburg bezogen haben, wurde bewusst gegen den Aufbau einer traditionellen Kunstsammlung entschieden. Stattdessen wurde ein auf den Ort bezogenes Kunstkonzept bei den beiden Münchner Künstlerinnen Sabine Haubitz und Stefanie Zoche in Auftrag gegeben.Die unterschiedlichen Reaktionen auf das Kunstprojekt haben die Stiftung bewogen, den Titel der Arbeit von Haubitz + Zoche 'Reflections' aufzugreifen und 'Reflexionen' zum einen seitens der Künstlerinnen über ihre Arbeit und zum anderen seitens der Besucher über ihre Eindrücke zu sammeln und in dieser Publikation zu veröffentlichen.Seit 1998 arbeiten die beiden Künstlerinnen zusammen. Ihre Arbeiten stellen sie regelmäßig in Galerien u. a. in Köln, München, New York, Rotterdam und Verona aus.Ihre raumspezifischen Konzepte entstehen in Reaktion auf vorgefundene architektonische Situationen und die spezielle Nutzung der Orte. Häufig werden ortsfremde Bilder in vorhandene Raumstrukturen eingefügt und so unerwartete Bezüge geschaffen. Die Künstlerinnen arbeiten in Serien, in denen eine Fokussierung auf klar formulierte Themenbereiche stattfindet. Die Umsetzung der Fotografien in Leuchtkästen verstärkt die intensive Farbigkeit der Aufnahmen und deren realitätsnahe Raumwirkung.
