A horse standing beside a pole to which he is attached. On the left, on the side of an ascending hill two herdsmen are resting along with two dogs and another horse. Numbered on the bottom right: '4' and monogrammed on the bottom left. The plate has been reworked throughout the various states (see first state at the Rijksmuseum, inv. RP-P-OB-60.574). Possibly for the last impressions, the artist used a bush with acid to enhance the chiaroscuro on the figures on the left, especially on the resting dog.[NL] Een aan een paal gebonden paard.
