Despite the inherent interrelatedness of these behavioral and cognitive changes, all too often the papers we read confine themselves to specific, isolated components of the developing process. Although exceptions nat urally exist, we believe that these exceptions should become rule. Although an integrated approach is important in all areas of adult devel opment, it is perhaps particularly germane in the study of atypical aging. Here, changes in overall functioning can occur in rapid succession, with the synchrony of decline between different subprocesses making it difficult to factor changes in one process from changes in another. °°° [Ultimate POST-SUMMERSALE: PRICE-REDUCTION of 50% until Monday, October 05, 2026; previously EUR 1.800,-] --- ORIGINAL PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC CARDBOARD DISPLAY-STAND, delivered on the occasion of the 'Sticky Fingers' LP-record release, the Rolling Stones' first studio album without Brian Jones. - DETAILS: Upper part (from the upper 40% of the record-cover up to Mick's head): 87 x 41,5 cm (43+ x 16+ inches, widest at elbows) / Lower part (from the lower 60% of the record-cover down to Mick's feet [with plaster on the 2nd toe of his left foot]): 89 x 43,5 cm (35 x 17x inches, widest at feet); Total height: 176 cm (69+ inches). --- *) According to auction-descriptions the (here) two parts were a folded single-part item, but regarding the cardboard's thickness(es) it is difficult to image how they would not crack at the fold immediately once folded (if not equipped with a special joint). The connecting edges of this copy are slightly rubbed and/but do not look like ever have been connected; the connecting edges of the (original) mounted stand are stronger rubbed and might have been connected once; difficult to surely decide. --- Unfortunaltely the head once has been bent backwards which results in a crack of the photographic paper-surface (right at Mick's tight collar) and a bending-crease at the rear; this part is stabilized with a loose cardboard neckbrace (definitely not matching any medical standards). The neck and the waist are each vertically somewhat-rubbed obviously from (the removal of) 5-cm tape to stabilize (neck) or connect (waist) the figure from the front. The bottom-right part of the waist (on the record-cover) lacks the photographic surface-paper on ca. 1 x 11 cm; at the very top of Mick's hair are a 2 small and a few smallest, partly frayed, holes, at least the 2 parallel small ones obviously formerly used to pin the figure onto another kind-of stand. The photographic paper-surface of the right leg is slightly wavy below the record-cover (thigh) and minimally at the knee. 'Shallow shadow' over the left lung (ca. 10 x 8 cm, what did he smoke during that period?), humidity-stain at the left shoulder (ca. 8 x 3 cm), rearsides of head and of right shoulder with larger humidity stain; right thigh and record-cover appear a little sunned, few smaller spots and another slightly frayed kind-of pinhole between ankles and feet, lower sharp-cornes of the stand frayed as well. OVERALL SOMEWHAT USED BUT COMPLETE SET OF THE IMPRESSIVE RARE MEMORABILIA. - ''Sticky Fingers is the ninth studio album by . . . the Rolling Stones. A superb archive of images with accompanying text, from the Stones official tour photographer, the series of photos run from just before the 1972 world tour through to the 1986 Grammy awards. Putland's archive documents the seventies which many consider the most interesting decade in the band's history, and beyond, resulting in a photographic history second to none; including shots of Mick Taylor in the line-up; the incredible It's Only Rock'n'Roll video shoot; the arrival of Ronnie Wood; the first pictures of Keith after his Toronto drug bust; backstage at the Palladium; and the fantastic 100 Club gig. Mount Vernon, New York, Vari-Vue, n.d., c. 1967. £300.00 A few water stains and spots under/within the lenticular's surface, the verso of the card in pristine condition suggesting that this was not removed from the published album cover but was possibly surplus, perhaps acquired at the Vari-Vue bankruptcy sale, or sent out as a sample at the time. There is a much larger version that lore sug- gests was only issued in a small run of a 100 plus and also a smaller version, possibly issued for the eight-track format. Provenance: Julio Mario Santo Domingo was possibly the world's most assiduous col- lector of The Stones, he also had the much larger and rarer version of this framed in baroque gilt. The famous ? 3D' image stuck on to the front cover of the second of the two grand, psychedelic concept album projects of 1967, the first being ?Sgt Pepper' and the second was ?Their Satanic Majesties Request'. Cooper did very similar photography for both albums and constructed the ?Satanic Majesties' set with the rather wayward input of The Stones and Artchie. The period in which the record was made was a very hedonistic and druggy one. Richards cannot recall much of the actual recording sessions saying, 'It's a total blank. We were pretty much the same way we were on the cover' (p-114 Dora Loewenstein et al ? According to The Rolling Stones, 2003.) but does remember going to New York with Cooper where he met a Japanese '.guy who had a camera that could produce a 3-D effect.
