Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - 'McKean, the Governor's County' is a comprehensive historical account of one of Pennsylvania's most politically significant regions. The narrative delves into the lives of the influential figures who shaped the area, most notably reflecting on the legacy of Thomas McKean and the subsequent leaders who earned the region its distinctive nickname. The text offers a detailed exploration of the social, political, and industrial evolution of the county. Stone examines the early settlement patterns, the rise of the lumber and oil industries, and the legal frameworks that defined the county's growth during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
