SIGNED and inscribed to Pat Kelly (Rep. Edna Kelly's daughter) on front free endpaper by author Lela Stiles. This volume comes from the collection of Edna Kelly (1906-1997), Democratic member of the US House of Representatives from NY from 1949-1969. She was one of only ten women in Congress when she was elected in 1949, and introduced a bill for Equal Pay for Equal Work in 1951, considered the first Equal Pay (for women) bill.
