Mit zahlr. Abb. Geheftet. Zustand: Gut. 27 S. Einband leicht berieben. Text auch englisch. - In the Institute of Scale Art in Copenhagen we have for some years been endeavouring to determine a number of definitions of artistic production. It is necessary to overcome the dependency on a monopolistic structure current in the 60's - as expressed in the international art trade and in the art-works themselves - without regressing to the old type of subjectivity. Works of art are never isolated phenomena, but enter into complicated relations with other forms of production in society. We have been concerned with three problems in particular: the relations of the work of art to political contradictions, to science and to democratic development. In order to comprehend these relations it is necessary in every situation to determine the relations between the theoretical implications of the work of art, the artistic tradition in which it is incorporated and the artist's own practice. da Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
