Zustand: Good. 1963. Reprinted. 170 pages. Illustrated dust jacket over green cloth covered boards with gilt. Illustrated colour plates. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Plates are bright and clear. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Clipped jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing. Writing to front flap.

Pages and illustrations have light tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil inscriptions to front free endpaper and rear pastedown. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends.

Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fair. with colour figures of 125 species, 17 photographic reproducdtions and 135 text illustrations including a pictorial colour key to the plates (illustrator). Tears with paper loss and scuffing on jacket which has a faded and rubbed spine and half an inch of paper loss at the top of the spine. Ownership label inside.
