A bibliophile edition (in a print run of 300 numbered copies) of the working album with small contact photographs, which assembled Frantisek Drtikol (1883-1961) himself . The album consists of eighty-three pages with 973 photographs, Drtikol's notes and twenty pencil sketches of photographic compositions. Original is in deposit of Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, it is donation from Anna Farova. The format of the publication is identical to that of the original. Drtikol's notes, made in ordinary and red pencil, are preserved with unchanged charm and elegance. For the printing of the book, the special, frequency-modulated, Satin Screening technology, developed by the firm Heidelberg, was used. The distinc qualities of the technology made it possible to approximate the original as closely as possible. This album offers a unique opportunity to peak into the photographer's artistic kitchen. It also constitutes an important, comprehensive overview of his work from the late 1920's and early 1930's.
