Marbled paper is worn and scuffed with general wear. Vellum spine has hand written title and author with some additional discoloration and staining from time. Overall, covers are worn, but very strong. Bookplate and former store sticker on front pastedown. Pencil note on ffep. Large woodcut vignette depicting a geographical map of Italy held up by cherubs with a view of the city of Modena in the background with the Ghirlandina tower. Additional engraving on page 1 by Perotti. Interior has creasing, general toning with minor spotting, but all is in excellent condition and legible. Modena, presso la Società Tipografica, 1772, 4° (cm. 29,5 x 20,5) mezza pelle non recente, titoli e fregi dorati al dorso, tagli spruzzati, pp. XXIV-379 con una bella marca tipografica incisa al frontespizio, una grande testata, un capolettera e un finale xilografici. Si tratta dell'opera principale dell'A., interessante soprattutto per i commenti sulla lingua e l'epigrafia etrusche. Qualche spellatura alle cerniere (ma volume solido); cuffie lise, con piccole mancanze; fregi dorati sbiaditi al dorso. Peraltro esemplare marginoso, piuttosto fresco e croccante all'interno, con solo sporadiche arrossature. Edizione originale.
