The front cover has an illustration of a determined Aztec warrior. The spine has an illustration of a lightly armed but defiant Spaniard. The covers are marked and scuffed and worn. The edges too are worn. The book itself has been much owned. There is wear throughout. The pages are lightly foxed and marked. They are however, comfortable, relaxed, assured, clear and content. fk. From the collection of illustrated juvenile fiction (1890- 1930) of Brian Mills (ÕThe DreamerÕ) (1939- 2011). He left no signs of his ownership but they are distinguished by their excellent bright condition in a genre that often shows up rather wornÉhe was known to constantly upgrade his collection. Scarce. Only 5 copies found at WorldCat (OCLC) the worldÕs largest library catalogue. Novel with religious themes, front panel shows an angel. Slight foxing to endpapers and preliminaries, otherwise near fine. Excellent condition.
