An original carbon typescript of Burke's short story, Go Lovely Rose, bound together with two page designs (the title page and an illustrated page), specifying typeface, design and layout, and also two proofs in blueline of illustrations by Stephen Spurrier. With a few authorial corrections in pencil, and a s…mall sketch on the verso of the last page annotated in an unknown hand thus: "Work up a scheme with Spurrier with a full page of the incident marked." Go, Lovely Rose was first published in New York in 1931 in an edition of 110 copies. Folio (331 x 259 mm), pp. 27. 2 illustrations by Stephen Spurrier. Original pale blue boards, spine lettered in manuscript. Boards a little soiled, front joint tender, contents somewhat creased and slightly soiled; overall a very good copy.
