Very mild damp stain at the very edge of the bottom right hand corner of a few leaves, otherwise very good with presentation slip, printed in Hammer Uncial inserted loose. Printing of Victor Hammer's burial service in Pisgah Church Graveyard, Woodford County, Kentucky with an illsutration of a stylised drawing of Hammer tipped in. The piece also mentions prayers said for him at the Trappist Abbey of Gethsemani and a commemorative Mass said for him in Alsace.

First edition. 8vo, original printed wrappers, saddle-stitched. One of an unspecified, but assuredly small, number of copies printed for private use as an anniversary keepsake. Nicely calligaphic title page; the text constitutes a series of quotations on marriage from Dante to Dostoevsky, printed in black and red. Curiously, this book is not described in Philip N.Cronenwett's Spiral Press bibliography, although the title page is reproduced as an illustration to the ephemera section. Small mark to title page, fine.
