Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Pages and illustrations have medium tanning and foxing throughout. Thumb-marking present to some page edges with pen marking to last few pages.… Text remains readable. Previous owner's inscriptions and stamps to front pastedown and endpaper. Rear free endpaper missing. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Staining overall.

Binding in good condition with a little shelf wear to top and tail of spine and little rubbing to edges and tips . Inside all pages with full edge gilt in very good clean condition with a little foxing and aging to end papers. A lovely copy.
