So, although the artwork plates were designed and produced between the 1930s and 1940s, folders were on sale in park gift shop into t…he 1950s. a long, continuous strip of linen-textured paper is accordion-folded into 9 double-sided panels, revealing a total of 18 full-color scenic views when fully opened. Bottom of the cover page—shows Bridal veil Fall, Vernal Fall, Yosemite Falls, and Nevada Falls. The process of colorized photos begins with black-and-white photographs taken by a camera. Artists added colors by hand, using diluted oils, watercolors, or dyes. Publishers printed these hand-painted images using early lithography techniques. The colors look stylized, dreamy, or slightly unnatural compared to modern photos.
