The Raczy?ski Library, founded in 1829 by Count Edward Raczy?ski in Pozna?, was a public library focusing on Polonica and books related to areas historically connected with Poland. It was destroyed during WWII, except for special collections looted earlier. The catalogue is thematically arranged. Volume 1 includes a biography of the founder, library history and statutes, descriptions of 191 manuscripts, and catalogues of incunabula, theology, philosophy, science and arts. Volume 2 covers literature and history. Volume 3 is a catalogue of Polish literature and history, while Volume 4 contains indexes. A very good copy of the most comprehensive catalog of Poland's oldest public library.
