The author's aim in this book is to assist students and amateur botanists in identifying specimens collected during their rambles around Edinburgh. He does not pretend to offer an original arrangement of the natural orders, but only to make the descriptions of the species as concise and yet as complete as possible. The book is bound in the original dark green cloth covered boards with gold titling on the spine and front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with shelf wear and light soiling to the boards. The spine is cocked and the spine ends are lightly bumped. The contents are tight and clean with light foxing to the title-page and browning with some foxing to the endpapers. The folding map has some mis-folding and there is a personal name stamp on the title-page and a name and date written on the front free endpaper.…
