This was the first book in English solely devoted to the Roe. Part 1 The Natural History; Part II Roe Hunting; Part III Roe Shooting; Part IV The Roe In Heraldry; Part V Management Of Roe. An extremely scarce title, there were 72 initial subscribers to this book, which included many leading sportsmen of the day, libraries and institutions. A book which seldom appears for sale. A vg copy in the original binding of a scarce title in particularly good condition and well presented in the clapshell box.
