Firm and square, strong joints, just mildly rubbed and slightly darkened. Contents tight, clean and tidy. No pen-marks. Not from a library so… no such stamps or labels. Note: a compliment slip from the author is loosely inserted. Size: 225mm x 150mm; collation: Volume 1, pp. xvi, 416, 14 (publisher's catalogue); and Volume 2, pp. x, 422, 15 (publisher's catalogue).
