Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. H. Lawrence Hoffman (illustrator). 1st Edition. 8vo., 179pp. Sharp Stated First Edition. Bound in quarter light blue cloth over navy paper-covered boards with titles in navy on spine. Square, tight and clean throughout save a couple of errant spots on the end-papers. Perhaps just a hint of toning to pages. Very gentle wear to spine ends. Attractive clipped dust-jacket has a couple of tiny nicks and closed edge-tears. Light rubbing to edges and folds. Still fresh and bright and quite presentable. Though not marked in any way, this came directly from the library of H. Lawrence Hoffman who illustrated the dust-jacket. His son, David Hoffman, the noted documentary filmmaker, has signed a statement with information about his father, the artist, and attesting that the book was from his library. A copy of this is included. A pretty collectable copy of an uncommon title.
