Handwritten signed letter from Martyn Skinner to Colin Welch loosely inserted written on headed notepaper from Ilex House, Fitzhead, Taunton dated December 26th 1983 and consisting of about 125 words in which Skinner says he remembers Welch saying in a letter that he admired his poetry. He encloses some specimens of his poetry and goes on to admire Welch's articles in 'The Spectator' particularly the one about Beatlemania. He thinks 'our attitudes to the general state of things seem largely to correspond.'
