He wrote extensively on politics, history and High Church and Catholic theology (though was born Jewish as Schloesser). A Fabian before and during the Great War, he retired from the Court of Appeal in 1941 through ill-health but managed to struggle on till about 1979! 172 pp. Ex-Boots Library.
