paperback. Zustand: Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that e…ncompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.

Softcover. Zustand: Fine. Magazine. Cover by John Dana, Charles Moore, and Stanley Cowell. Quarto. Stapled red printed wrappers. 98pp. A bit of toning to the pages, else fine. A magazine edited by Sixties poet and radical, John Sinclair, co-founder of the White Panthers Party, and one-time manager of the band MC5. This issue of…the magazine was rushed into production shortly before Sinclair was to report to jail for an earlier conviction for selling marihuana to an undercover agent. His incarceration lead to a host of protests, most notably Allen Ginsberg, who rushed the stage during The Who's Woodstock performance to plead Sinclair's case, and John Lennon, who recorded the song "John Sinclair" on his album, *Some Time in New York City*. Among the contributors are Robert Creeley, Jonathan Williams, Charles Olson, Anselm Hollo, Ernst Robert Curtius, Reiner M. Gerhardt, Ed Roberson, David Federman, Steve Jonas, Allen Van Newkirk, George Tysh, J.D. Whitney, Bill Hutton, David Sinclair, Joe Groppuso, Jim Semark, Henry Malone, Jerry Younkins, Arnold Shulsky, D. Welsh, Marshall Rosenthal, Robin Eichele, and Kenny Schooner.

Zustand: Wie neu. Trolleybooks, London. 2009. First edition, first printing. Martin Parr, Gerry Badger: The Photobook, volume 3, page 96/97. Mint, new, unread; still originally shrink-wrapped in publisher`s plastic foil. Paperback (as issued). 180 x 255 mm. 140 pages. 83 colour photos. Text and photographs: Robert Maddock. Intro…duction: Ian Sinclair. Design: Fruitmachine. Text in english. Perfect condition! Collector`s copy! "Out Kids Are Going to Hell" shows a portrait of an area and the inherent social interactions between youth, crime and the law, this book describes Hackney and east London, but also provides a commentary on a wider narrative familiar to all urban nocturnal clashes. "Robin Maddock spent three years accompanying local police going about their work in Hackney, east London. His photographs uncovered both a seedy nocturnal narrative, meandering through a young, and often underage, world of drugs and crime, but also a wider perspective of society and its interactions with the law today. An endless cycle of raids and arrests that never make the local newspapers, drugs are the most prized aspect of the raid, valued equally by both sides. Usually glamorous in their absence, they become visible only through confrontations, weapons, and a tide of visitors to the house of the parents. Glimpses of arrests and domestic and drug paraphernalia, set against the transient backdrop of fleeting Hackney street corners and stairwells, it will be familiar to but a few. The series shows a cast of characters on both sides of the law playing out their scenes with the mundane daily grind of a resigned and well-played ritual. Iain Sinclair, the esteemed writer on the history of London who lives in Hackney and is also the recent author of a major survey of the area, has provided the introduction to the book. There will be a booksigning at the London Art Book Fair on Sunday 27th September, held at the Whitechapel gallery. Both authors will be present."
