Originally written by Sinclair Lewis and Dory Schary as a screenplay for MGM (that never got made), it is an allegory of World War II written as a Western novel. The main villain is named Hygatt (Hitler), with his henchmen are Gribbles (Goebbels), and Gerrett (Goering). Also featured are Churchill (Chancel) and Stalin (Slavin).
