Sims whilst TEL was stationed at Bridlington towards the end of his RAF career in 1934-5. Bound in blue cloth with TES stamped to front. The volume contains the fine series of portrait photographs taken by Sims in White Cottage, Hornsea. This volume is an elegant production from Simon Lawrence at the Fleece Press and won the Limited Edition Class in the British Books 1995 Design and Production Awards. 72pp illustrated with photographs. Photographer Lucas' rubber-stamp on the verso of 2 stills. Laurence Harvey stars as Johnny Jackson, a sleazy talent agent who discovers teenager Bert Rudge (Cliff Richard) singing in a coffee house. Jackson exploits the young singer, who only wants to play bongos, and their relationship turns sour. Generally considered a classic B-movie, so bad it's good. A story set in New York, shot on location in London and Surrey, England. 8 x 10 inches, some slightly largerr. Slight faint foxing, with a tiny closed tear here and there, else Near Fine.
