This copy hand-numbered 68/100 on the limitation leaf. Armorial bookplate of C. H. Waterland Mande…r mounted to front pastedowns. Original cloth backed paper covered boards. Cloth spines perishing with chips, fray and loss and some prior evidence of PVA application which was not successful in stabilizing the brittle cloth. Bindings generally sound; superficial toning to edges of Japan Vellum leaves. Most, but not all of the 37 full page plates are accompanied by a duplicate plate mounted to India Paper and tipped onto the vellum printed plate, each with seaparate tissue guard. 16 plates in gravure and 21 in tint. Accompanied by 190 in-text illustrations. Uncommon in the de luxe limited edition. This set is recommended for rebacking restoration. G to G+ thus . Oversize book will require additional charges for most shipping methods.
