Three folding engraved plates. Light shelfwear to leather; restoration to damaged title page (which lacks original lower corner), light foxing. Light off-setting and some insignificant tears to plates, 2" tear to Plate II professionally restored. Lazare Sieuve, a Marseillais trader, would seem to have been troubled by insects. In addition to writing this book on protecting olive trees from infestation, Sieuve was awarded the Bordeaux Royal Academy's prize in 1763 for his investigations into moth-proofing wool.
