Softcover, bound in decorative color handmade paper wraps with a rectangular keyhole in the front cover which reveals the authorÂ's name. There is a tiny stain to the bottom corner of the front cover. 4 deckle-edged leaves, including the colophon, printed in French fold on handmade paper. Illustrated with a four-color woodcut [portrait of the author] by Sidney Chafetz, signed by the artist. Near fine. A beautiful production. Limited edition of 100 numbered copies signed by Mark Strand. The colophon reads: "This folio is one of a continuing series of keepsakes produced at the Logan Elm Press & Papermill, each of which contains a short text and a portrait of the author. For this piece, Mark StrandÂ's poem, copyright 1986, was hand-set in Janson types by Russell McKnight and printed on paper made by him from cotton, linen, and abaca fibers. The frontispiece is a four-color reduction woodcut by Sidney Chafetz, copyright 1988.".

Number 24 of 100 copies produced at The Logan Elm Press & Papermill handset in Jason types by Russell McKnight and printed on paper made by him from cotton, linen and Abaca fibers. Features a short poem by Strand accompanied by a four-color woodcut by Sidney Chafetz. A very near fine copy in string tied die-cut wrappers. Signed by Strand on the colophon page and Chafetz under his woodcut.

The edition was hand sewn and hinged into a non-adhesive structure of Hahnemühle Bugra paper wrappers over boards. Cartoonist Milton Caniff was a graduate of Ohio State University, Class of 1930, and this keepsake celebrates his connection to the university, as well as revisiting his Terry and the Pirates, Miss Lace, and Steve Canyon characters. ; 0 pages.
