[good solid copy, slight damage to upper rear corner; the jacket is rubbed and edgeworn, with a few small edge-tears and a 1-1/4" ragged split at the top rear hinge]. Novel about labor relations at a large West Virginia steel mill, as "the heavy guns of a young, powerful nation-wide labor organization move in to open fire on the old, corrupt, company-dominated union." The author was born in West Virginia, and went to work at a steel mill at age 16, during World War II, so one can reasonably presume that he's doing that thing of "writing what you know.".
