A star-studded but typical Hollywood biopic based on an original story by John O'Hara ("Ten North Frederick," 1955), about a successful 1920s musical writing team, DeSylva, Brown and Henderson. They score several hits on Broadway, but tensions between the three writers mount as two begin to feel neglected. 8 x 10 inches. The couple is recalled to serve again, in light of the shortage of military personnel, but the husband is reclassified for health reasons, and the wife stays on to help. From the director of "The Girl Can't Help It" (1956) and "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" (1957). 8 x 10 inches. Light creases overall, and faint soil on the versos, else Near Fine.

Based on the 1957 novel by John McPartland. An examination of the intertwined lives of four married couples in a newly constructed suburban Los Angeles community and the issues they harbor, such as alcoholism, marital infidelity, racism, and religion. Script written by uncredited and blacklisted screenwriter Ben Maddow, and fronted by Philip Yordan. Set in and shot on location in Los Angeles. Bound in light blue cloth with navy quarter leather finding, with five raised bands and gilt titles on the spine. 154 leaves, with last page of text numbered 143. Before Sheree North, there was Betty Grable, the owner of the most beautiful legs in Hollywood, but both musical darlings star in this comedy about two dancing girls who hide at Bristol College while they attempt to locate the killer of a fellow performer. Marilyn Monroe was originally cast as "Curly" but refused the role, and Sheree North landed the part. Grable's final acting role. 8 x 10 inches. A hint of toning, and a tiny edge tear here and there, else Near Fine.
