Hardback in dustwrapper. 28.5 × 21cm, 105pp. This book studies the work of graphic artist David Lance Goines, who has focused his attention on the poster and prints all his own posters. The book is a chronological presentation, in full colour, of all 114 posters Goines has completed to date (1985), and has an introduction by Charles Shere. Condition: Good plus condition. There is a little wrinkling to the wrapper's edges and some light staining to the pages' top edge but this has not penetrated at all, the pages are clean and the binding is secure.
First serial publication. Contained in the rare Summer 1985 issue of The Threepenny Review, a now-established quarterly magazine. This early issue includes work by (among others) Frank Bidart, Rachel Hadas, Robert Hass, Czeslaw Milosz, Bharati Mukherjee, Robert Pinsky, and Adam Zagajewski.
