Himachal Pradesh (fig. 2) is administratively divided into 12 districts viz. Kangra, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba, Shimla, Solan, Sirmour and Una.
