Hardcover. Zustand: New. Grammar and Beyond is a new perspective of looking into Paninian grammar. The author has methodically chosen the titles included in the book with a view to analysing the processes underlying the formations that have been described by Panini under the Sutra Krttaddhitasamasasca. This Sutra defines the secondary formations in Sanskrit and gives them the status of Pratipadika which is the Base of nominal formations in Sanskrit. According to Arthavadadhaturapratyahah Pratipadikamit is one of the three basic meaningful units of Sanskrit language. Thus though formed by adding two Basic meaningful units the secondary forms are structurally and semantically independent words that convey special meaning. In order to highlight the uniqueness of Krdanta formations Tinanta has been presented in an independent chapter. The inclusion of Nan (negation) in the list is purposeful and illuminating. The choice of Sanskrit grammatical terms makes the context authentic and helps in avoiding confusion. Since the language analysed by Panini is not available in its original form the author has meticulously chosen examples of grammatical rules from the prose in Sanskrit drama which is the closest one can get to spoken language. The subject of the plays chosen, provides a broad spectrum of language use, from romantic to social and also political contexts. The author has worked systematically to look into the philosophy of Sanskrit grammar to discover the universality in human language and has tried to give a description of how this insight can be helpful in creating a universal grammar of human language. This insight, when fully researched and developed, may also help in understanding how the human mind works to express and understand language in general.

Hardcover. Zustand: New. 1st Edition. The present era, is driven by consumers for consumers. Consumers prefer high-quality, convenient and tasteful variety of foods with longer shelf life. Consumers look out for quality led to 'Creation of demand for high quality food throughout the food Chain from farm to palate'. Along with this demand, there is an increase in tendency to eat a greater variety of foods both traditional and conventional to exotic and unconventional. Hence, the role of government has become pivotal in order to ensure safe food to the consumers while ensuring food safety all through the distance food travels from farm to palate. A food supply chain or food system refers to the processes that describe how food from a farm ends up on our tables. The processes include production, processing, distribution, consumption and disposal, various food laws that regulates its production, processing and distribution. The food we eat reaches us via food supply chains through which food moves systematically from producers to consumers. Every stage of the supply chain requires human and/or natural resources hence if one part of the food supply chain is affected; the whole food supply chain is affected, leading to changes in price or even black marketing as commonly seen in the prices of onion and pulses.
