We try to hide who we are sometimes from our daughters for fear that they will make the same mistakes or not see us in the best light. This only diminishes the great love and understanding that they have for us. Having gotten to know my mother a bit more as a woman was one of the greatest highlights of being her daughter. To see the strength and beauty in her vulnerability is the greatest gift that she ever shared with me and I wish that we had more time. This journal is my gift you- to use the time that you are given to share all that you are.
