Akron, Ohio: The Saalfield Publishing Co., 1948. 1948 coloring book in the shape of a kitten carrying a parasol, containing unused scenes to color, including kittens, puppies, dolls, bunnies, etc., printed in black and white or orange and white. Light cover soil and a bit of edgewear, internally very clean and unmarked. . Soft Cover. Very Good. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.

Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. London: Raphael Tuck & Sons, 1905. Undated, ca. 1905. Verses about dolls illustrated with two full color plates and other small line drawings. Pictorial covers cut into the shape of a doll, twelve pages, stapled binding. Covers edgeworn and foxed, contents separated from covers but still well connected together, pages lightly age-toned but very clean, brief gift inscription on inside front cover. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Color-printed, die-cut card wraps, edge & spine wear, loss to base of spine and at the edges of a few pages, pages brittle, will need to be handled with care. Illustrated with 6 pages printed in color, the balance in line. Fables and humorous verses about animals. The cover is a pirated version of Louis Wain's Dandy Lion, some of the b&w artwork is by George Henry Thompson. Size: Folio.

Color printed card covers bound with a tasseled cord, embossed title, die-cut around a little girl & donkey, chip from donkey ear and same ear missing from a few pages. Mother Goose rhymes and one verse by Helen Burnside illustrated with 6 color chromolithographs, other artwork in line by W J Wiegand. Size: Oblong 12mo.

Zustand: Good. Chromolith illustrations on 4 pages + line illus. to each page Shape Book octavo (one facsimile foot in front & both in back are facsimiles) spine split (14pp) else neat clean & bright. 1 volume. Softcover.

Card covers printed in color with gilt embossed title, die-cut in the shape of a basket of flowers, small loss to fore edge flower, spine wear, some offsetting and light foxing but clean overall. Snippets and selections of poetry from Shakespeare, Bret Harte and others illustrated with 6 pages of lovely color chromolithographs, other pages in line. Size: 24mo.

Zustand: Good. Chromolith die cut doll + 4 pages of chromolith text illustrations+ line illustrations. Die cut quarto (36x19cm) card covers (lower outer corner creasing/spine paper chipped off but covers still attached/edges rubbed/back cover plain has damp tide-mark and loss at top for half inch/spine is chipped but intack with covers attached) [14p] Back cover plain with Tuck Logo & publishing details New York-London-Paris. Damp marking does not affect inside at all,nor the front cover One marginal tear without loss a few slight finger marks & original staples a bit rusty but all pages attached except for bottom 1" split. Two captions a bit cropped it sounds wornse than it looks,but a large popular shape book which is often in poor condition or with torn pages due to its size. Here in acceptable good condition. This is NOT a facsimile reproduction, this is the genuine Father Tuck series, Number 1756. 1 volume. Softcover.

Three Edge tears without paper loss. No tape repairs, no scribbles, no foxing and though Oversewn hinge is unfortunate the book opens safely and a more permanent repair could be done. Total size is 37cm x19.5cm [14+ inches] 1 volume. Hardcover.

Comprising 4 leaves [including the title], each with a chromolithograph recto and a line drawing and verse verso, the whole tied with a silk ribbon, in lovely condition. *Fragile and uncommon in such good order.
