Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean.

Illustrated with b&w plates from photographs, & 3 from drawings by E. Caldwell. Dark green cloth, spine & upper board titled in gilt. Newly recased with original spine and upper cloth laid on. A very good copy. Largely about deer-stalking in Scotland, Norway and North America (the author owned a ranch in Wyoming), but includes chapters on trout, salmon and sea-trout fishing in America, Norway, Scotland and Ireland. The final chapter is on sporting rifles. Hampton's Angling Bibliography (2008) wrongly attributes this book to Heywood Walter Seton-Karr, the author's younger brother, who was also a noted traveller, big-game hunter and angler. .

Very light spotting to endpapers and preliminaries, otherwise internally crisp and clean. A touch of light wear to cloth. Very good. "This volume contains a selection of the sporting incidents with rod and rifle that have fallen to my lot in portions of two hemispheres during a period extending over thirty years.".
