Con-artist Paul Gregory (George Nader) charms an old widow (Bessie Love) and steals her husbands coin collection, hides it, and then waits to get arrested, thinking he'll get a minor sentence and retrieve it afterward. When the judge gives him a substantially longer term than expected, he decides to escape from prison, but his attempts at recovering the stash proves more difficult than expected. Maggie Smith's theatrical debut and the penultimate film produced by the British production company Ealing Studios. Set in and shot on location in London. 27 x 41 inches. Folded as issued.
