Cloth. Zustand: Good. Cloth rubbed and stained, spine discoloured (painted? brown). Some slight foxing, a few crayon markings. HEAVY.

Zustand: VG. Mockba. no date. appears to be c. 1866. appears to be first edition. Impersky Velechestva. 4to. Full leather cover. Gilt spine lettering and initials "E. ZH" (in Russian cyrillic letters) on lower corner front panel. 283p. Music Score. Signed twice in pencil by owner Ivan A. Lopatin with his name stamp indicating the book is a Gift (but to whom it was gifted is not stated) on front end paper and verso of titlepage. One other owner name stamp on top of first page of text. Leather cover has inch wide flaps all around with a small metal circles in two corners. Text is VG, clean. Hinges not cracked in or out. Cover is rubbed and quite worn (although not torn or chipped) and is beginning to split along outer hinges. Good overall. Serov lived 1820 -1871. This opera was written 1863-65 and first performed in Petersburg November 8, 1865 to tremendous acclaim. The score is Rare. Pictures available on request.
