A list of nine appointments follows, beginning with '1947-8 Commanding HM Gunnery School / Chatham.' and ending with '1963 - Commander in Chief / Far East.' Good bold signature and valediction: 'With all best wishes / Yours sincerely / Varyl Begg'. The letter can be dated from the letterhead and last item in the list.

London, needless to say, has its own smaller map to right lower corner showing this information in more detail, with density thinning out the further removed from the river Thames. II. GROSSBRTANNIEN UND IRLAND: Fernsprech und Telegraphennetz (telephone and telegraph networks) [other side] GROSBRITANNIEN UND IRLAND: Funkstellen (radio stations) which locates the major communication hubs and lines of connection throughout England and the island of Ireland. Both mpas in excellent condition, with just a touch a light tanning here and there and the odd split at fold. All six items supplied with the original, printed, brown card box, which is rather battered and split. Almost certainly, the contents are INCOMPLETE, and possibly even something of a hotch-potch with some booklets absent and others not corresponding to list of contents. It is what it is (as they say).
