About the book >.>.> He lived in his own house, and had a little land. He was buried in Bradford churchyard, between the belfry and the south door, but his tomb is indistinguishable. He was churchwarden for many years, though a Non- conformist. A half brother of his, named Martin Russell, lived at Sherborne, and left property to Christ's Hospital, London, stipulating that presentations should be given preferably to lads from Sherborne bearing the name of "Russell." The town has the power of presenting, and there are always one or two such lads in the school. From a deed in my possession, dated 1723, I find that Mary, wife of John Russell, was the daughter of Edward and Agnes Richmond of Bradford Abbas. (MP).
