In den Warenkorbhardcover. Zustand: Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.

Arthur [Sept 18th/20th 1987]. In the author's hand on the fep is written Author's Copy 15/11/83. Arthur Cadman was an expert on British deer and wildfowl, and the author of such books as Tales of a Wildfowler (1957), Shouldergunning for Duck (1963), and Dawn, Dusk and Deer (1966). Sir Peter Markham Scott, CH, CBE, DSC & Bar, FRS, FZS (14 September 1909 - 29 August 1989) was a British ornithologist, conservationist, painter, naval officer, broadcaster and sportsman. The only child of Antarctic explorer Robert Falcon Scott, he took an interest in observing and shooting wildfowl at a young age and later took to their breeding. He established the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust in Slimbridge in 1946 and helped found the World Wide Fund for Nature, the logo of which he designed. He was part of the UK team for the 1936 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the sailing event. The author is one of the most respected authorities on both wildfowling and row stalking, with a multitude of articles in many sporting periodicals and books to his credit. Among the latter are "Shouldergunning for Duck" and "Goose Shooting", both published in 1963, and "A Guide to Roughshooting" was published in 1974. This is Arthur Cadman's well-thought of account of his long career in pursuit of goose, duck and waders. Cadman was an ornithologist and enthusiastic wildfowler. He spent 25 years as an officer of the Forestry Commission, and the last 10 years of his career were spent in charge of the New Forest and forests on the Isle of Wright. Here he relates the extensive time he spent in marshes and mud flats pursuing ducks and geese. Well-written and marvelously illustrated by Sir Peter Scott. Later Edition, Likely first edition and first printing from this Publisher.
