A comprehensive study of the work and press of Otto Rohse, a German artist, book designer, typographer, wood engraver, copper engraver, and illustrator. Rohse studied at the Konigsberg Art Academy under Alfred Partikel and the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts under Friedrich Ahlers-Hestermann. He founded the Otto Rohse Presse in 1962, which thrived on the spirit of the great presses of the early twentieth century, and is now best recognised for his design of stamps and stamp series for the German Federal Post Office.
