Early 20th century travel guide with black and white plates and maps, including folding maps of the major islands and the City of Honolulu. Worn but sound, with wear and some pencil marks to the covers, hinges internally cracked but secure, text block sound but not tight (no loosened pages), folding maps of Kauai and Honolulu each have a closed tear with no loss, some notes on each map, old names and notes inside the front cover, pages otherwise clean. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

Sicherlich werden Sie in diesem Verlag gut aufgehoben sein [.]". - Friedrich Schnack lebte seit 1926 als freier Schriftsteller und Mitarbeiter von Presse und Rundfunk, schrieb zunächst expressionistisch beeinflußte Naturlyrik aus der Welt des Orients, wurde aber insbesondere mit seinen Erzählungen und Romanen, nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg auch mit naturkundlich-poetischen Sachbüchern bekannt.
