Paper Covered Boards. Zustand: Good. First Edition. 1803. First edition. xxiv, 350 pp., 4 folding plates. With text in German, title roughly translated as 'Concerning Diseases of the Tear Organs', an early 19th century book on diseases of the eyes. This is an ex-library copy, bound in contemporary paper covered boards with a paper title label. The boards have shelf wear with bumping and some damage and loss around the corners and spine ends. The paper covering the edges of the boards and spine edges is damaged with some loss.The spine is darkened with pieces of the title label missing. The titling is now indistinct and difficult to read. The contents are secure and the only library stamp is on the front free endpaper which also has a 'Withdrawn' stamp. The pages are largely clean although all suffer from some degree of foxing. This is mostly light to moderate but a few are more heavily affected, including the title page which also has some soiling. The four plates are also foxed and the first plate has repairs running down one of the folds.…
