Er behandelt das in Leviticus 19,2325 vorgeschriebene Gebot, dass man die Früchte eines im Land Israel neu gepflanzten Baumes in den ersten drei Jahren nicht verzehren darf. Sie werden mit der Vorhaut (`Orla) verglichen, und gelten als »unbeschnitten«. Im vierten Jahr sollen sie in Jerusalem verzehrt werden, und erst im fünften Jahr sind sie zum Genuss freigegeben. Es werden alle denkbaren Möglichkeiten diskutiert. So wird z.B. unterschieden, ob ein Baum als Bauholz, zur Einzäunung oder zum Genuss der Früchte gepflanzt worden ist. Wie verfährt man, wenn der Baum genau auf der Grenze zwischen dem Land Israel und dem Ausland steht? Wie geht man mit Bäumen um, die von selbst gewachsen sind?
