Our copy is the ninth and, according…to the majority of critics, the best edition of this book as it contains the notes of the editor himself, German philologue Prof. Gottfried Heinrich Schäfer (1764-1840). Ex-library copy, with reference sticker at upper front joint and tail of spine, stamp on title and at top and bottom paper edges. Bookplate on inside of front cover and printed notice at verso of back cover. Moderate and sporadic foxing throughout. Text in Latin. Binding in very good, interior in good+ to very good condition.
