Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. First edition. Introduction by John Rosenkrans, president of Eisenhower College. 75pp. Illustrated. Tan cloth stamped in brown. Owner label on front pastedown. Boards and page edges foxed, front cover with a tiny stain, preliminary and terminal blanks a bit foxed, a very good copy. Inscribed by the Schaaf on the front fly. The "Chicken Farmer Cousin" is the author himself; according to the introduction, Schaaf was also a grocer, real estate investor, and philanthropist. The first part of the book concerns the Doud and Schaaf families from 1859, and the second half concerns "Mamie's cousin James," his wife Anna, and of course their interactions with the Eisenhowers, from 1950 to 1973. A charming little book. Ten copies in *OCLC*.
