The work, titled (Elements of Medical Pathology), is an extensive 19th-century medical treatise dealing with pathology, including the causes and symptoms of disease, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment, followed by sections concerning diseases affecting various organs and systems of the human body. The title page states that the book was available from the author at the Embassy of the Sublime Porte in Paris. Complete with 338 numbered pages. Early half-leather binding with marbled boards and gilt decoration to the spine. Paris, 1843. 338 pages. Dimensions: 14.5 x 20.5 cm. Condition: Fair. Complete copy. The binding shows considerable age-related wear, rubbing, surface losses and heavily worn corners. The internal binding is weakened and partially separated in places, with splitting visible along some hinges and gutters. Pages show age toning, foxing, staining, handling wear and occasional old manuscript marks. The text remains readable throughout. Please examine the photographs carefully for condition.
