Für acht Wochen verschwanden sie in einen Ashram, um dort Meditation zu studieren. Presse und Besuchern war der Zugang nicht gestattet. Die nächste Woche verbrachte er mit John, Paul, George und Ringo, dem schottischen Folksänger Donovan Leitch, der Schauspielerin Mia Farrow und Mike Love, dem Leadsänger der Beach Boys. Es war die Zeit, als Mia Farrow sich gerade von Frank Sinatra getrennt hatte, die Zeit, in der die Beatles die meisten Lieder für ihr nächstes Album, weltweit bekannt als das »White Album«, komponierten. In diesen wenigen Tagen entstanden unglaubliche Fotos, die jetzt erstmals in dem Prachtband »Die Beatles in Indien« vereint sind. Paul Saltzman lässt uns an einigen der besten und intimsten Fotos, die je von John, Paul, George und Ringo gemacht wurden, teilhaben. Paul Saltzman hat als Regisseur, Autor und Produzent von Spielfilmen und Dokumentationen international Preise gewonnen.
